Got Wood?

I am officially addicted to wood cutouts! I love to paint and thought I would try some of the wood cutouts that you can get in bins at the larger craft stores. I went a little crazy this weekend and bought enough to fill a bag, bad girl Annette!
The flamingo on this tag was already painted but I repainted it with my own colors and added the glitter and crackling and him a little black adhesive pearl eye. He reminds me of Florida and the pink flamingos you see on lawns.

The seahorse on this next tag was just plain wood and I painted, crackled and glittered and added a starfish using a spellbinders die. I cut the starfish out twice and glued them together to make it more sturdy.

And last I painted a plain wood birthday cake cutout and added glitter and some sparkly yellow glitter that I have had for quite awhile. You know, one of those things you buy because you think it is so cool and you absolutely know you will use it one day.

Felt is still my first love though and I actually just cut out some felt starfish but haven't had a chance to work on them yet as I have been a little busy with my Etsy store.

I met the most wonderful lady through Etsy who had purchased a few of my easter tags and if you get a chance, please visit her blog at Miss Rhea's Sweet Shabby Roses. She has the most wonderful vintage site with the most adorable things! You have got to see her handmade garland that she makes and sells on Etsy, it looks like real cookies but they are fake and they are totally shabby and sweet and pink and I just love them! I would love to hang it in my craft room but my kitties would have a hey day with the ribbon! She has so many beautiful things on her blog and she is so talented, I am so happy to have found her!

I hope all of you have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by!
Annette

Your projects are always SO fabulous, Annette! There is no way I could make those wooden pieces look half as sweet. I really love all your tags. Your attention to detail never ceases to amaze me. Can't wait to see what you're going to do with those felt starfish.
Are you finally getting some sunshine in your neck of the woods? The last couple of days here have been so beautiful. I've been spending a lot of time outside soaking it all up.
