A couple things....

Just a couple things today, I am going to try and post weekly as I have been a bad blogger these past few months!
I'm still in love with wood! I found these cute wood cutouts of dinosaurs and lizards so I thought they would make some fun tags. I painted, crackled and glittered and attached them to a chipboard tag that I cut out with a heavy duty paper cutter. I had bought a pair of pants some years ago and attached to them was a chipboard tag and I hung on to it because I knew it would be of use one day. I discovered a use, it is perfect for using as a template to cut the corners off of chipboard tags!

I call these my shabby butterflies! I handcut the butterflies and did a running stitch around them, then added a rose and bow, then attached them to a scallop tag. I love using fabric to make bows as I think it gives things a shabby look, gotta love shabby!

We are getting our predicted rain today with thunderstorms on the way. It has been a perfect day for crafting!

Oh, I got some news yesterday, one of our dogs is pregnant! Yikes and double yikes! We have three strays that showed up, a shepard we named Rachel (Ray), a black lab we named Paula (Dean) and a springer mix named Tyler (Florence). We got Paula fixed first and I guess we didn't get to Rachel in time because she and Tyler had a romantic night together and in a few months, there will be little sheppard and springer puppies! Anyone that lives local to me that reads my blog, if you would like a puppy, let me know! hee hee
I would love to keep one as we really wanted a puppy but we got three grown dogs instead and I am grateful that we were able to rescue them, but I am secretely hoping that we won't be able to find a home for one of the puppies and we will get to keep it!

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!
Annette

Hi Annette! Today was a perfect day for scrapping. I spent mine sorting & purging my supplies. Got to do that every so often just to remind myself of what I have.

Love the tags, especially the ones with the butterflies! And congrats (?) to you on your future additions to the family! From the names of your big rescued babies I can tell you share my love for the Food Network. Haven't watched Rachel of Paula in a while, but I think I will go add them to my TiVo list right now!

Snuggle in and stay out of the thunderstorms...it's already thundering here.

Love your tags Annette!!! Especially the little alligator, how cute! The crackle paint adds such a great touch. And of course the fabric tags are beautiful!
Uh oh, puppy love:) I'm excited to see what the puppies will look like! Matt would have a heart attack if I mentioned taking in another dog, so I'd better just admire them and not take one:)
