Snow?

We have a forecast for snow tomorrow, some of the news stations saying we will get 3-6 inches and more locally. I'll believe it when I see it as our snow forecast has not been very good this year. Because we are expecting snow, I thought I would post a few snow cards. This first one has lots of handmade paper on it. I made the scarf and hat by cutting out the shapes from cardstock, then applying glue and attaching the yarn all around the shape until it was covered, then let it dry. The snowflakes are made with glue, using a fine tip then applying glitter and I made the snow with squiggly lines of glue and applying clear glass beads. They look white int he photo but on the actual card they are clear. I printed the "let it snow" on vellum and applied some liquid applique, which is really cool because when you heat it up it gets all puffy. Sorry the photos are a little dark, it is cloudy and rainy today so the lighting isn't very good. If you click on the photo, you can see the details better.

I used sizzix dies for the tag and tree on this snow tag. The snowman is a punch and I applied some snow-tex to it to give him a snowy look and I glittered his hat. The snow on the ground is a double row of thick white yarn with some glitter added to make it sparkle.

The little chick is a cotton scrap from Crafty Secrets with alittle stickles to highlight him. I added some shimmer shapes by Scrapworks and some paper flowers by Prima with adhesive pearls in the center.

I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Every card is awesome as usual. Haven't thanked you for the stamps yet so now I'm saying "thankyou". My Dad's health in the past yr has just been up and down and I was spending the night with him when Tammie called and said, did you know you won something???? I was so happy, I think I even gave a little scream. ( my Dad just can't understand why we get so excited with scrapbook stuff). Amber was up a couple weeks back and she was showing me different ways I could use them...she said she loved owls,I wonder if I should have given them to her? Nah...maybe I'll buy her some.
We got just a dusting of snow. How about you?

I love the little chick on the Spring card the best...just 'cause it doesn't remind me that I do not want to see even one more flake of snow until Christmas eve...but you can have as much as you want! :-) Beautiful projects, as always!
