Spring Fever

Although I love the snow and cold, I am ready for Spring. I always love to watch the scenery change during spring, especially the trees when they are so bare, then you see a tint of light green, and before you know it all the trees are covered in leaves. I haven't checked lately but I have a feeling my tulips and daffodils are peaking through the dirt at the new house, ready to grow and soon will have big beautiful flowers. I'm surprised they are still hanging on, seeing I planted them in a temporary location in terrible dirt. Next year they will be moved to a permanent home and hopefully thrive alot better than they are now.

My spring fever is coming through in my card colors lately, soft pastels, butterflies and lots of flowers!

This first card is made with mostly all K & Co products, with the exception of the chipboard which I cut with a Sizzix die, painted and then coated with a dusting of Martha Stewart purple saphire glitter.

On this card I cut out a butterfly image with an x-acto knife, then coated it with Martha Stewart Crystal Fine glitter. The papers are Anna Griffin (love her!) and the flowers are cherry blossoms from the craft store, which I also coated in glitter.

I got the laser cut butterfly from Michaels, painted in between the laser cut lines, (with a shaky hand and a small brush!) then coated with glittered. I added some Prima pearls, lace and a K & Co. die cut to finish it off.

And one last card, with more butterflies! I glittered the tulip image, added some eyelet lace, ribbon and some little butterflies coated in chunky glitter.

I'm up early today, my sister and I are heading out for a shopping trip to the city. Tomorrow, I get to paint more molding!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Thanks for stopping by!
Annette
