We went down to the property Saturday, the roads were not the greatest but we made it okay. It's a 25 mile drive to the new house so it took us awhile but Terry got us there safely.

There were large frozen puddles all over the place and the temp. got down to 13 degrees that night so I knew they would still be frozen the next day. I had bought some iceskates when I lived in Boston about 10 years ago and never got a chance to use them so this was the perfect opportunity to try them out!
The next day the sun was shining and the roads were much better so we headed back down to the property. I got a chair, took off my snowboots and put my skates on. They were so stiff because they were new and never worn but once I got the hang of it I could skate around on my little frozen puddles! I had a nice little skating rink and skated along, slowly but surely with my stiff skates waiting to fall and was so grateful I didn't! (I had long john's on for extra cushioning just in case I fell!) I was done after 10 minutes or so as the skates were hurting my feet from being new but I was so happy that I finally got to iceskate after all these years! Next year were going to flood a bigger area near the back of the property and Terry wants to get some skates too, he said he was quite the skater in his younger days so I am sure we will have lots of fun. (I hope it gets cold enough next year!)

While my computer was out, I tea-dyed some ribbon, flowers, lace and doilies. I sprayed the doilies with glimmer mist in pretty pastel colors, this is how they turned out. I've been using them on cards and tags.

I made this card using Cosmo Crickets Earthlove Collection.

And my Custom Crops project this week. You can find the supplies and instructions
here.

It's a beautiful and sunny day today, the main roads are clear but the backroads are all icy so I'm hibernating in my craft room where it's warm and cozy.
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful week!
