Just a couple felt projects to share, I was trying to think of fun summer things to make and thought of popsicles so I drew out a pattern, added some buttons and a cardstock backing and a stick collected from rub-on's and came up with a felt popsicle.

I got these cute sizzix dies about a month ago and this is my first project with them. I cut the poodle (her name is Fifi)out of white felt, then again in pink felt and cut the poofy parts off the pink and attached them to the white poodle and stitched around them. I chalked her a little, added some seed bead eyes, a bow and glittered her paws (they look like hoofs to me!). I also stitched around some felt flowers and added button centers.

I also got this flower sizzix die the same time, an etsy customer had recently suggested some sympathy tags so I thought they would be perfect for that. I made two different sets using Basic Grey Urban Couture paper for the tags and alternated the frames and centers on each set. I cut the leaves out of green felt, then again in white felt to get the different layers, then I attached them to cardstock, cut them out and then sewed around each leaf with my sewing machine.


We did get a little dusting of snow last night, it is all gone now and they are calling for a little more tonight but I think whatever falls tonight will stay around most of the day tomorrow as we are only supposed to get into the mid 30's as our high temp. They've got the mid 60's next week in the forecast, perfect weather to go down to the property and do a little spring yard work!
